The 2nd IB Workshop was held for GKV Cemil Alevli College (IBDP) 11th grade students and their parents, who are also candidates for the November 2020 IB exam.
The workshop was opened with a vote of thanks by Mehtap Özdemir, Director of GKV Cemil Alevli College, for the participation and support of all parents and teachers who participated in the program.
In the first session of the workshop, GKV Cemil Alevli College IB Diploma Program Coordinator Özlem Kara's presentations on "2020 November Term Exam Process" and "Our Academic Honesty Policy" were included.
In the presentation, topics such as applications for the "Baccalaureate 2020 November IB Exam Program", internal evaluation, points to be considered in the homework process, academic honesty, plagiarism prevention and reference were shared with our parents in an interactive presentation. The digital library resources of GKV Private High Schools were introduced and the use of TURNITIN (Plagiarism Detection Program) and JSTOR (database) and the support they provided to our students were emphasized. The booklet containing our school policies and the information resources of the guidance service were shared with our parents. The academic study calendar for our students in November 2020 was evaluated and the importance of parent support was emphasized during the examination process.
In the second session of the workshop, IB course teachers shared about the oral and written studies for the exam. They advised the November 2020 exam students to plan and use their time correctly, by sticking to the study calendar. In the last part of the workshop, where the progress processes in the IB Diploma curriculum were evaluated, IB student reports prepared for the 1st semester and teacher opinions were included. The workshop ended with the answers of our students' parents' questions and individual interviews.

GKV Cemil Alevli Koleji (IBDP) 11. sınıf ve aynı zamanda 2020 Kasım IB sınav adayı öğrencilerimiz ve velilerine yönelik 2. IB Çalıştayı düzenlendi.
Çalıştay, programa katılan tüm veli ve öğretmenlerimize katılım ve desteklerinden ötürü GKV Cemil Alevli Koleji Müdürü Mehtap Özdemir’in teşekkür konuşması ile açıldı.
Çalıştayın 1. oturumunda GKV Cemil Alevli Koleji IB Diploma Program Koordinatörü Özlem Kara’nın “2020 Kasım Dönemi Sınav Süreci” ve “Akademik Dürüstlük Politikamız” konulu sunumlarına yer verildi.
Sunumda, “Bakalorya 2020 Kasım IB Sınav Programı”na yönelik uygulamalardan, iç değerlendirme, ödev sürecinde dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlar, akademik dürüstlük, intihal önleme ve kaynak gösterme gibi konu başlıkları interaktif sunumla velilerimizle paylaşıldı. GKV Özel Liseleri djital kütüphane kaynakları tanıtılarak TURNITIN (İntihal Belirleme Programı) ve JSTOR (veri tabanı) kullanımları ve öğrencilerimize sağladıkları destek vurgulandı. Okul politikalarımızın yer aldığı kitapçık, rehberlik servisi bilgilendirme kaynakları velilerimizle paylaşıldı. 2020 Kasım dönemi öğrencilerimize yönelik akademik çalışma takvimi değerlendirilerek sınav sürecinde veli desteğinin önemi vurgulandı.
Çalıştayın 2. oturumunda IB ders öğretmenleri sınava yönelik yapılan sözlü ve yazılı çalışmalar hakkında paylaşımlarda bulundular. Kasım 2020 sınav öğrencilerine çalışma takvimine sadık kalarak, zamanlarını doğru planlama ve kullanmalarına yönelik tavsiyelerde bulundular. IB Diploma müfredatında ilerleme süreçlerinin değerlendirildiği çalıştayın son bölümünde ise 1. dönem hazırlanan IB öğrenci karneleri ve öğretmen görüşlerine yer verildi. Çalıştay, öğrenci velilerimizin sorularının cevaplanması ve bireysel görüşmeler ile sona erdi.
